Can AI Read My Royalty Data?

Our AI, Toni, searches the section of the platform you’re currently in – sales, costs, catalog or contracts, so you can get answers without digging manually. Have a question about data from another section? Toni will tell you which tool to open and find the answers for you.

  • How many sales files have been uploaded for Q1 of this year?
  • Are there any unmapped sales lines I need to map to catalog?

Can AI Explain Royalty Contract Terms?

From the contracts tool, Toni can review PDF contracts, identify and highlight specific deal terms and analyze your contract data within Tone. Have questions about deal terms? No need to dig through the PDF anymore, Toni can surface any detail and flag errors across your original contract and your Tone contract in easy-to-understand language.

  • Tell me when the contract for X artist expires and if there are any remaining deliverables expected?
  • What is the recoupment status of X payee?

Can AI make edits to my royalty data?

This is the newest and most exciting thing Toni can do for you. Upload a PDF contract, Toni will review it and suggest edits to match what’s actually in the document. No more worrying about a missed escalation clause, an incorrect advance amount, or a recoupment rate that doesn’t line up.

Toni will never make edits without your approval. Every suggested edit is a recommendation, not a change. Nothing updates in your account until you review it and approve.

  • Tell me which contracts are missing catalog? After you identify the contracts, suggest tracks to add and have me approve.
  • Add a 20% sales rate for US sales on all of X payee’s contracts.
  • Tell me all the contracts we have with X artist and determine if the 5% escalation for digital sales is added to all of their contracts.

Can AI project my royalty obligations for me?

Toni can model a royalty contract change and show you the financial outcome before you finalize a new deal term or payout. Ask about a new split, a different royalty rate, or an updated recoupment structure, and Toni runs the scenario against your contract data.

Toni’s ability to simulate means you have a clearer view of your business and its future. A change to one clause, an escalation threshold, or a cost rate, can have ripple effects to recoupment schedules or payout timing. Simulating the change first means you can see that effect, and catch surprises before they show up in payouts—instead of after.
